ABI (17 - 02-11) .- The Ministry of Environment and Water (MMAA) with 16 institutions on Thursday launched an awareness campaign for the care of water to avoid wastage during the carnival celebrations.
"The campaign is to care for all from the water, which gradually is running out and if we take care not to suffer the consequences in the future, "said the minister, Mabel Monk.
explained that the carnival season to avoid irrational use of part of a series of actions to be undertaken in the short, medium and long term targeted at various audiences for awareness.
remembered that such campaigns are conducted for three years with the support of 16 institutions, including the mayors of the cities of La Paz and El Alto.
"The campaign is reinforced by two municipal ordinances to La Paz and El Alto, which prohibit the sale of water for the game at a carnival, in addition to the closure of public taps to avoid wasting water, "he said.
remembered that such campaigns are conducted for three years with the support of 16 institutions, including the mayors of the cities of La Paz and El Alto. The campaign also seeks to open up spaces for reflection in the population about the problems caused by water shortages worldwide and national levels.
